Retirement Employer Training (1½ day class)

The South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority (PEBA) conducts a comprehensive one and one-half day employer training seminar on retirement benefits for benefits administrators and other personnel. Our Field Services team conducts this training in small, informal sessions that encourage group participation and welcome any questions or comments. Day one begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m. Day two begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. Day one of training includes a brief overview of the S.C. Deferred Compensation Program, an introduction to the PEBA retirement systems, membership and enrollment, payroll reporting, and service purchase. Day two of training includes the retirement process, leaving covered employment (refunds), death claims, and the Electronic Employer Services (EES) website.
