Prescription benefits
State Health Plan coverage includes prescription benefits at no extra cost. Prescription drugs are a major benefit to you and a major part of the cost of our self-insured health plan.
Behavioral health
State Health Plan coverage includes behavioral health benefits. There is no limit on the number of behavioral health visits allowed if the care is medically necessary under the terms of the Plan, and there is not an annual or lifetime maximum for behavioral health benefits.
Maternal health
State Health Plan coverage includes health benefits. Maternity benefits are provided to subscribers and their covered spouses. Benefits include necessary prenatal and postpartum care, such as childbirth, miscarriage and pregnancy-related complications, as well as breastfeeding support and helping you find services to support your mental health
Life insurance
You are automatically enrolled in Basic Life insurance at no cost if you enroll in health insurance. You can also elect more coverage for yourself, spouse and/or children.
Long term disability
You are automatically enrolled in Basic Long Term Disability at no cost if you enroll in health insurance. You can elect more coverage for added protection.
MoneyPlus
MoneyPlus is a tax-favored accounts program that allows you to save money on eligible medical and dependent care costs. You fund the accounts with money deducted pretax from your paycheck.
Health Savings Accounts
Savings Plan members can contribute to a Health Savings Account. An HSA helps you get the most out of your health plan by reducing your taxes while saving for future medical expenses.
Adoption assistance
Eligible state employees can receive financial assistance to help pay some expenses when adopting a child. Assistance is limited to the amount of funds authorized each year for the program.
