PEBA Partners is an award program that honors employers that demonstrate a dedication to promoting a physically, emotionally and financially healthier workplace. PEBA strives to recognize employers who are setting the bar for workplace well-being programs across the state. Each year, the application is sent to participating employer groups in May.

The South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR) places a strong emphasis on creating a positive and thriving work environment through a combination of wellness events, promoting numerous employee benefit programs, and supporting various initiatives throughout the year that contribute to physical, emotional and financial health. The focus on work-life balance, flexible workspaces, and access to resources for personal and professional growth showcases their dedication to employees. Overall, SCDOR's approach reflects a thoughtful and proactive approach for ensuring employee well-being and success.

Higher education winner | Aiken Technical College

Aiken Technical College recognizes that our employees are the college’s greatest asset. The college’s wellness program strives to create a supportive environment that prioritizes health, flexibility, mental health and work-life integration. Some of the opportunities offered include a wide range of activities, such as live virtual webinars about managing stress, burnout, financial wellness and creating self-care in your workspace. Optional employer winner | City of Goose Creek

The City of Goose Creek provides a robust wellness program to assist employees in living a healthy lifestyle and in making healthy choices. Its wellness program offers education rewards and recognition related to physical activity, nutrition, disease prevention/management, financial and mental health. The City of Goose Creek offers educational seminars, walk/run challenges, a wellness fair that includes preventive screenings, mobile mammography and immunization clinics, along with vendors that focus on the mental, physical and financial health of its employees and dependents.

Public school district winner | Colleton County School District

Colleton County School District makes every effort to ensure employees are provided the necessary resources to maintain a safe and healthy working environment. Team Colleton recognizes the physical and mental well-being of employees contributes to the success of our school district.

State agency winner | House of Representatives

With the support and guidance of the Clerk of the House, the South Carolina House of Representatives promoted health and wellness throughout the year by hosting health screenings, providing available resources and through friendly competition.
