Update on in-person consultations

August 31, 2021

PEBA’s goal is to provide excellent customer service while keeping visitors and its employees safe. Due to the increasing number of COVID cases, we encourage members to take advantage of virtual appointments. This includes scheduled phone and video consultations. To request a phone or video consultation, visit peba.sc.gov/visit-us.

If you do wish to visit our office, we encourage you to schedule an appointment for an in-person consultation. While we do accept walk-in visitors, please note that our busiest hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and we encourage you to arrive by 4 p.m. You may experience a shorter wait time if you arrive outside of these hours.

It’s also important to note that if you do visit our office, you will be required to have your temperature taken when entering the building. We also request that you wear a face covering, and you may be asked to wait in your car until a counselor is available to see you.

If you are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath, have been exposed to COVID-19, or think you may have been exposed to COVID-19 within the past 10 days, please do not come to an in-person consultation.
