We offer appointments for one-hour phone and video consultations. You will receive the same service regardless of the type of consultation you choose. You may also contact us any time from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday at 803.737.6800 or 888.260.9430. Calls are answered in the order in which they are received.
We also offer walk-in consultations at our 202 Arbor Lake Drive location. In-person visits can have longer wait times, and we recommend that you arrive by 4 p.m. If you are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath, have been exposed to COVID-19, or think you may have been exposed to COVID-19 within the past 10 days, please do not come to an in-person consultation.
Phone consultations
Scheduling a phone consultation is an easy, convenient way to connect with a benefits counselor from the comfort of your home. Best of all, you can continue to practice social distancing while avoiding call wait times. At your scheduled appointment time, a benefits counselor will call you at a number you provide. Your consultation will be tailored to address your needs. A phone consultation may be a good option if you are planning to retire in the near future and wish to receive a full counseling and planning session.
Video consultations
A video consultation is another safe and convenient option PEBA offers to chat with a benefits counselor without leaving home. At your scheduled appointment time, you will connect with a benefits counselor via a Microsoft Teams video chat. Your consultation will be tailored to address your needs. A video consultation may be a good option if you have questions related to PEBA-administered benefits that have not been resolved.
How to schedule an appointment
You can book appointments up to 21 days in advance only. If there aren’t any times available, check again the following day, as we release new appointments at midnight each day. Visit our benefits consultation page to select a date and time for your appointment. You will receive a confirmation email with more details about your appointment.
